1. About K12Policies
K12Policies (the "Service") is a reference library of publicly available US K-12 school policies and AI guidance documents, plus tools to evaluate and draft new policies. K12Policies is operated as part of the K12 family of sites.
2. Not legal advice
The Service is provided for informational purposes only. Generated drafts, summaries and insights are starting points, not ready-to-adopt policies. They are not legal advice and must be reviewed against current federal law (IDEA, ESSA, Title IX), your state code, and local board procedures before adoption.
3. Source documents
Policies in the library are sourced from publicly accessible state, district and school websites. Copyright in those documents remains with their respective authors. We cite the source and link to the original wherever possible.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not submit content you do not have the right to share.
- Do not use the Service to harass, defame or infringe on rights of others.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer or scrape the Service at scale.
5. Submissions
By submitting a policy or any other content you grant K12Policies a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, display and cite it within the Service.
6. AI-generated content
Drafts produced by the Generator are synthesised by large language models from selected source documents. Output may contain errors, omissions or hallucinations. You are responsible for verifying accuracy before use.
7. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, K12Policies disclaims all liability for any loss arising from use of, or reliance on, the Service.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
